Connecting Dropbox to GravityExport

Note: GravityExport Lite does not support Dropbox export. This feature is only available in the full version.

Go to “My apps” in Dropbox

Visit https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps to go to the My apps page in Dropbox.


Click on the Create app button

When asked, choose "Scoped access" and "App folder" settings. Name the app what you want the folder to be named in Dropbox.

You can name your app whatever you want. In the example picture, we named it GravityExport. It will appear in Dropbox folder under Apps > GravityExport.

Under "Files and folders", check the boxes for files.metadata.write and files.content.write.

Under the "OAuth 2" section, set "Access token expiration" to "No Expiration", then click Generate.

This will disappear once you leave this page, so make sure to copy it.

Treat this value as carefully as you would treat a password.


Go to your site, click on Forms, then click on the Settings menu item.

Paste the token value into the "Dropbox Access Token" field, then click the Save Settings button.

After saving, the Dropbox token is shown encrypted. If it worked, you should see a green checkmark next to the encrypted value.

To edit the token, click the "Modify Dropbox Token" button and the field will become editable.

You should see a new folder in your Dropbox.com account inside the Apps folder.
